Citizen Empowerment Course: The content of the Citizen Empowerment Course will cover through its modules the following themes/fields: i) Democratic Ideals and Institutions ii) Essential Pillars of Functioning Democracy iii) Citizens’ Role in Democracy iv) Financial Literacy v) Modes & ways Citizens can be active and influence Decisions in Democracy vi) Human right vii) Tolerance & Culture of Peace. Capacity Building Training course for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs):
An Online Course, accessible via the eLearning Platform of the project, with 5 modules covering the following fields:
i) CSO Fundamentals (role, refining an organisation’s mission)
ii) Strategic planning
iii) Organisational management
iv) Communication

Awareness Raising Campaigns: The project team designed and run a series of awareness raising campaigns through a wide array of channels and using various tools to engage citizens, putting an emphasis on youth, informing them about the work of Cypriot CSOs and to encourage participation. Workshops for CSO Practitioners: 4 interactive training workshops will be delivered by using non-formal education, for CSO practitioners and members of informal groups on the content and themes of its Training Programme. At least one of the workshops will be offered to the TC community and one will be in English for all communities, complementing and help promote the online course. Webinars: 6 webinars training workshops will be delivered by using non-formal education, covering the themes presented by the citizen empowerment online course as well as exploring important development and issues. The webinars will feature invite stakeholders, representatives of CSOs and experts to participate so that they complement both the learning activities and the awareness raising activities of the project. 4 Public Consultations: 4 public consultations with citizens will be delivered by EMERGE. The consultations will allow citizens to get information and also put forward their questions and views. For more information visit the News section, follow us on Instagram, Facebook or contact us!

Outreach & Experience-Sharing Events: 6 events will be organized with the involvement of other CSOs, across the whole island. These events, will have a thematic scope (e.g. human rights, environment), will provide an excellent opportunity for CSOs to engage and connect with citizens, build networks of collaboration among themselves and share their experiences and views. To ensure an elevated outreach for the project and the CSOs the events will take place in multiple locations around Cyprus – in Nicosia, in Limassol, in Larnaca, in Paphos and in the Turkish Community.
