CARDET’s launch event took place in November 2022 at Home For Cooperation and brought together CSO professionals, stakeholders, officials and citizens, providing a unique opportunity to expand your network and contacts in the sector, as well as to explore the possibilities of cooperation and joint actions.

Most importantly, it served as an opportunity to learn more about the work and actions being carried out to support and empower Cypriot civil society organisations through the EEA Grants, the EMERGE and For Stronger CSOs projects and Civil Space. 

The event was organised through the EEA-funded EMERGE project by CARDET, Koumanto Stin Tsepi sou, Civil Advocates and Civil Space.

What are we up to? 

Over the last few months, our team has been working hard to develop online and live modules for citizens and CSO professionals. 

The modules for citizens aim to increase citizen participation in civic activities. In addition, the modules for CSO professionals aim to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of civil society. 

What are the next steps? 

Moving forward, we intend to promote the project’s objectives and materials through education and awareness raising through the facilitation of workshops for the implementation of the above modules. 

We believe that a strong and engaged citizen is vital to build a vibrant and thriving community and we are committed to working towards this goal.
